ICUSTA Solidarity Projects and Mobility Projects selection
Dear ICUSTA members,
The application process for ICUSTA solidarity projects and mobility projects 2024, have received the followed projects:
Solidarity Projects:
1. Sustainable energy for water supply and strengthening public health in rural communities affected by drought. Presented by University FASTA, Argentina.
2. Training support and cultural exchange for young university students from the Huaoraní people in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Presented by University San Sebastian, Chile.
3. Scholarship for PHD and Master students from International Centre of Posgraduates, Guinée Equatorial. Presented by International Centre of Posgraduates, Guinée Equatorial.
4. Food for good: Education and Action to Combat Food Waste: Presented by Catholic University of Avila, Spain;: aims to educate secondary school students in both cities on the impact of food waste through interactive workshops, student-led actions, and collaboration with local schools.
5. Migration is an urgent social challenge, especially for those who face barriers to accessing employment, recognition of studies, cultural integration, and the creation of support networks. To set up a employability skills training program in Chile for migrants. Presented by University San Pablo Spain.
Mobility Projects
1. Ing. Ana Haydée Di Iorio from UFASTA, Argentina to Catholic University of Avila: AREA: Forensic computing, forensic audio processing, and application of artificial intelligence to forensics.
2. Professor Thierry de Saint Pierre1, director of the Master’s in Cybersecurity at University San Sebastian to Catholic University of Avila. AREA: Cybersecurity.
3. Faculty member of Department of Biology from University Saint Thomas, Houston, to Catholic University of Valencia. AREA: Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, specifically within the field of Environmental Genomics.
4. Dr. Nelson Valdés, Director of the PHD in Psychological and Social Studies of Well-being, University Santo Tomás, Chile, to Catholic University of Valencia. AREA: Coordinate the actions necessaries for the design and implementation of interuniversity research projects in the area of psychological and Social studies.
5. Profesors from Catholic University of Avila, Dra. Elena Sánchez Jiménez.; Professor from University Cardenal Herrera, Francisco García-Muro San José; and Juan Francisco Lisón Párraga. AREA: To analyze the level of postural control and psycho-emotional health of young university students.
We would like to announce that the Executive Committee have selected 3 Solidarity Projects ( exceptional situation and redefining the amounts given to each projects, in order to give more opportunities to solidarity actions) and 2 mobility projects each:
